Course Details

Safe driving requires more than technical ability behind the wheel; it also involves careful preparation, awareness of potential hazards, and a responsible approach to every journey. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to driver awareness, covering effective journey planning, essential vehicle safety checks, common driving risks and distractions, and the principles of safe and responsible driving. It is designed for new and experienced drivers, as well as organisations seeking to promote safer driving practices among their workforce.

Learners will develop the knowledge and understanding needed to reduce risks on the road, improve driving behaviour, and contribute to safer journeys for themselves and other road users. The course emphasises proactive decision-making, hazard awareness, and responsible driving habits that help minimise accidents and support road safety.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to prepare for journeys effectively, carry out vehicle safety checks, recognise and manage driving risks, and demonstrate safe and responsible driving practices.
